My wife: Bulgarian aged 52, from a village, former engineer, has owned several apartments in Sofia for many years. Speaks English.
Me: From Leeds. Policeman and a teacher in my twenties, never an estate agent, thank god. Property developer in the UK for nearly 30 years. Now 59, four kids all settled with partners and children. Haven't needed to learn Bulgarian, just encouraging them to use English. I explain that we're all europeans together, and English is the language of Europe. Everyone here agrees, luckily for us.

We live in Bulgaria and do this for a hobby, but no one gets to rip us of ! We own outright all the houses that we're selling. I thought they were great houses that other Brits would like, and good value, and you will too. We keep a stock of around 200 houses, in the two main regions that I picked, plus a few building or development plots for you investment boys. Plenty of choices. The kids say I'm playing Monopoly with real houses! No "Go to Jail" cards though! Got the fully cleared title deeds and court certified English translations of all houses registered to our own Companies. You'll see the Municipal Notary Deed reference on every one [ the agents can't or daredn't include this]

You know where you are. Nobody messing about, cheating or changing their minds.Still got plenty of assets in UK, so you know you could sue my socks off in an English court if things didn't pan out right, or sell it back to me for more if your circumstances change. Don't like to see us Brits getting robbed . Keep you away from the former time-share touts and chancers who are getting rich out of us. Plus a lot of Brits and Bulgars who've tasted rich pickings for the first time in their lives. Lorry drivers pretending to be builders, illiterate estate agents. Various other parasites.

Bulgaria's a great country and working people can retire here and live like Kings on a State pension. We've no interest in the Jeremys and Jemimas who can spend 300k in bloody Tuscany or Provence just for holidays, because Granny fell off the perch in the Home Counties! Entry level for "A Place in the Sun" seems to be 100 grand. Here it's ten !

You'll get what you pay for with me and guaranteed very good value. House, building work, after-sales service. I'm from a poor background & like to help ordinary people to a better life. We live "The Good Life" here in Bulgaria, and have far more money than we need. You can too. My partner wants to help these shrinking Bulgarian villages. We are their hope, and all the villagers know it. They are great people and will welcome and help you and never take a penny for it, just don't large it up too much.

I can only help a fraction of the people who read this. For the rest of you. Please don't be put off. Bulgaria's a fabulous country, much better than Italy or France, plus the Bulgarians really like us. You'll love it. Just print out the warnings and remember, if it looks too good to be true, you can be sure it is.

If you can stand any more "About Me", here's an early experience I had in Bulgaria when I was only 55, and a young innocent. Experiences
